Change Planner Agent

A read-only agent that builds an evidence-backed plan for a code change.

← Portfolio

The Change Planner Agent investigates a proposed code change before anyone edits the repository. It searches a versioned snapshot, connects implementation evidence to tests and history, forms regression hypotheses, and exports a plan that a human can review.

What it contains

The project separates repository indexing and retrieval from the LangGraph workflow. The workflow plans an investigation, fans out research, retries failed steps, verifies evidence, and supports pauses and resumes. A deterministic offline scenario provides a repeatable way to inspect the default path.

Its evaluation compares lexical, dense, hybrid, structural, and workflow variants on pinned repository fixtures. Reports include retrieval quality, estimated latency, and index cost. A local repository can also be indexed and investigated without changing its files.

The agent produces a reviewable plan. It does not edit code, merge changes, deploy systems, or certify that a snapshot captures the complete production environment.
